I'm thinking she could have something similar to the suit equip system in Subnautica, except the slots are upgrade slots for her own body, and if she looks through her craftable recipes, she could make and install the upgrades herself (edited)
Now, I'll admit: Part of why fire, is that Lionel can have some utility. Do fires. Hell, maybe if she can figure out how to smelt metal, that's where he comes in.<br>As for sensation…well, yeah, either it somehow becomes organic, or maybe a visit to some legendary can bless her with that. Yeah, I think that's the case. I also have heard a theory that Deoxys is actually an attempt to make Missingno canon.
Now I'm trying to think of how an artificial being would be able to swallow. Maybe something like a dialysis pump, where it uses a rotor to compress a flexible tube and move the fluid through? Don't know how well that would work with solids, but it's a thought process.
